Kelsey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C). She is a native of the Washington D.C. area and has always had an interest in psychology. Kelsey has been working in the mental health field since 2013 and completed her Master’s degree at University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2015.
Kelsey has experience working with clients in a variety of settings including traditional outpatient therapy and acute inpatient hospital. She has worked with with a focus on mood disorders including anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. Kelsey believes in the uniqueness of each client and pulls from a number of modalities including, person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and psychoanalysis. Kelsey acknowledges that individuals are shaped by their past experiences and each client presents with their own unique set of issues to work through. She enjoys the process of helping clients gain better insight and understanding into themselves and their emotions and then working to develop the skills necessary to better respond to life’s challenges.
