Biography

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed in Maryland and Virginia. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Georgetown University and my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from George Mason University. My training and experience include treating individuals with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings, both inpatient and outpatient. I assess and treat adults and young adults with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and personality disorders. I am committed to giving care that is not only personalized, but also comprehensive. I provide thorough psychiatric evaluations and individualized medication management with special attention to one’s needs, including consideration for each person’s history, his or her specific context, stressful or traumatic life experiences or circumstances as well as each individual’s particular concerns or fears about medications, all of which I approach with patience, warmth, understanding, and helpful explanations that facilitate treatment and the individual’s sense of comfort and trust. I use a flexible, integrative and collaborative approach in order to meet the needs and desired outcomes of each client.

Mary June also conducts virtual visits with patients throughout Maryland. She is in-network with BCBS and Medicare and is pursuing credentialing with Cigna & TriCare.
