Assessment
We offer comprehensive psychological assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults. Evaluations consist of validated measures of intellectual functioning, personality dynamics, and/or educational achievement. We offer assessments for:
- ADHD diagnosis
- Learning Disability determination
- Special Education eligibility (IEP or 504 plan)
- Testing accommodations (SAT, ACT)
- Understanding emotional and/or behavioral concerns
- Vocational (career interest) assessment
- Giftedness
- Private school admissions testing
- Readiness for Bariatric Surgery
- Fitness for Duty Evaluations
- Occupational Health contracts
- Pre-adoptive screenings for child and prospective parents
- Letters for Gender Confirmation Surgery clearance
- Immigration evaluations for refugees, those seeking asylum, fleeing domestic violence, etc (available in English, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, and Cantonese)
- Spinal Cord Stimulator surgery clearances
- Forensic Evaluations for court (with the exception of custody evaluations)
Assessment is usually conducted over one to three sessions. Results are delivered in a professional report with recommendations and are discussed with the client and their family (if applicable) during a feedback session. Many insurance plans do have coverage for psychological assessment if a diagnosis is found (but not if it is only for school admission or accommodations, please ask about our reasonable private pay rates in that case).
